The Body Shop nominates MNDA West Sussex Branch as one of it’s chosen charities
We at MNDA West Sussex South Branch can celebrate some really exciting news. We were nominated by a Body Shop employee to be one of the charities that the Watersmead Charity Committee would support through 2020. Voting closed on Friday 24th of January at 5pm. There were 11 nominations and three have now be adopted for support by the Charity Committee for the coming year. The successful organisations are MNDA West Sussex South, Arun Home Start and the Community Minibus Association
Sandy Barrett and Maureen O’Neill attended the Body Shop today for the announcement and presentation of cheques to the 2019 organisations. It was fantastic to see Southampton Children’s Hospital, Sussex Snowdrop and Brighton MindOut receive cheques for a staggering £15,000 pounds each.
We were privileged to hear the very emotional acceptance speeches which outlined all of the fantastic work that these organisations carry out. The staff made us very welcome and those charities that had been involved in 2019 explained to us how exciting and rewarding it had been helping and supporting the events run by the charity team at the Body Shop. We are thrilled by the opportunity, we as a Branch have, to work with and support their Charity Committee throughout 2020.
