on Sunday 30th August 2020
*** DUE TO CORONAVIRUS THIS EVENT IS WAS RESCHEDULED ***
We are holding a Charity Golf Day at Ham Manor Golf Club on 20th August 2020. We are very lucky to have Goring Electrical Services, established in 2004 by Lee Hilton the Managing Director, as our main sponsor. Ham Manor is a wonderful parkland golf course which is relatively flat and weaves through a private estate on the back nine and large oak & fir trees on the front nine. The day will be a shot gun start with teams of 4 (£45 member/£65 non-member). This will include golf, food, prizes and a trophy for the winners. There will be the usual longest drives, nearest the pins, raffle and an auction to be held on the day. We would be delighted to get support from golfers of all clubs, and businesses in the area to apply to enter and /or sponsor the event. All of the funds raised will go directly to support people in our area living with this disease.
West Sussex South Branch currently supports over 40 people living with MND. It is run entirely by volunteers who support people diagnosed with MND their families and friends covering the West Sussex South area from Emsworth, Chichester, Worthing, Shoreham, the Chanctonbury Villages, Billinghurst, Petworth, Midhurst, Rogate across to the Sussex Hampshire border. The Branch provides in excess of £30k a year to support local people with Motor Neurone Disease with equipment and Services not provided by the NHS in our area living with MND. We have trained volunteer Association Visitors who offer home visits, emotional and practical support on a regular basis to families also providing a link with other vital services. We also campaign and raise awareness and help to fund research into MND.
