CoronaVirus (CoVid-19) advice

for those affected by MND in West Sussex South

Following advice from the Motor Neurone Disease Association regarding people living with MND and the risk of CoronaVirus (CoVid-19) we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our Committee Meeting in March 2020. The safety of people living with MND is our priority. A number of branches and groups have already suspended their meetings to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to people with MND or those in contact with them. We will also be postponing our AGM on April the 27th to a date to be advised. This is a totally unprecedented situation so we will remain in contact with the Association and will give further advice as we receive it.

Where possible we will try to avoid face-to-face meetings with people affected by MND for the time being to minimise the risk to those most vulnerable to this virus.

We realise that branch and group get togethers and AV visits are a valuable source of information, social interaction and support. During this time we will be considering alternative ways of keeping in touch with each other, perhaps by phone calls, emails, Facetime, Skype, social media, etc. as we wish to encourage our community to stay connected and in touch, but we shall by limiting all home visitations during this time.
